RF Engines Limited (RFEL), the provider of high
performance solutions for FPGA, have been short listed in
the 2006 'Elektra' European Electronic Awards in the
'Embedded System Innovation of the Year' category.
RFEL won the 'Start up of the Year' award in 2003, and
were finalists in the 'Research and Development' award in
2005.
At this year's event being held in Munich on 15
November, the RFEL product that is being recognised is
'ChannelCore64™' that allows designers to replace up
to 16 specialist DDC ASIC devices, with a single IP core
embedded in an FPGA.
John Summers, RFEL's CEO said 'we're delighted to be
shortlist again this year in what has become a very
competitive and prestigious event. There are some other
very impressive innovations being considered this year, and
so to go on and win the category would be a tremendous
achievement. We do a lot of business in Germany, so it's
great that the event is being held in Munich this
year!'
