Fractional Rate Resampler
RFEL’s Fractional Rate Resampler core provides an excellent two stage resampler, with an L-factor interpolation up-sampler, followed by a filter and a M-factor decimating down-sampler. The filter combines an anti-image filter and an anti-alias filter. All arbitrary rational factors up to 232 are supported, allowing precision resampling with high RF-performance.
Use of Fractional Rate Resampling allows the interfacing of different clock domains. It supports the up-sampling and down-sampling, which can be used, for example, to match a specific ADC sample rate to the processing clock speeds of an established algorithm. Other applications include data rate optimisation, allowing the data rate to be adapted to match the Nyquist rate for a given signal bandwidth, following a generic sampling stage.
